It's Time! An Invitation to Our Annual Fall Gathering
Every November we host our annual Fall Gathering to bring the biking and walking community together for a fun night of socializing and hearing from community leaders/experts.
We invite you to join us Monday, November 12th from 7pm-9pm in the Celtic Room of Conor O’Neill’s Pub (318 S. Main Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104) to meet like-minded advocates, hear the latest in biking and walking news from our two great speakers, and share your ideas about what would make Washtenaw County a better place to bike and walk.
This year’s guest speakers:
Raymond Hess started as Ann Arbor's new Transportation Manager in June. He previously served as the Director of Planning Services for the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada and before that was a Transportation Planner in Bloomington, Indiana. He'll be sharing the steps Ann Arbor is taking to meet our Vision Zero goal and become a better City for biking and walking. Fred Feng, PhD., is a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI). He will be presenting some fascinating new research (complete with shocking videos) of motorists’ interactions with bicyclists and pedestrians. This event is free and open to anyone to attend. We’ll provide the snacks, drinks are on you. At the end of the night WBWC members will be asked to vote on the 2019 board of directors.
