• Flex lane.

• Third general purpose lane.

• High-occupancy vehicle lane.

The document linked below discusses changes to Washtenaw between Carpenter and Oakwood.  For the stretch between Hewitt and Oakwood, there is one proposal.  For the stretch from Carpenter to Hewitt, there are 3 alternatives:

• "A":  Enhanced existing.

• "C":  Transit lanes.

• "D":  "ReImagine Washtenaw", based on work done in recent years in Washtenaw County.
